As a kid I didn't want to go to kindergarten. I've never been good in groups, either I become a leader or I fight with everyone. At the time, my grandfather sacrificed himself and took me to the communal garden every single morning. The three of us, him, me and my dog, Nadir, used to go every day to the bakery around the corner and my grandpa used to order three ice creams: chocolate for him, lemon for me and stracciatella for Nadir. Everyday on his way to the cashier he would poke his finger in the beignets just to annoy the owner. They wouldn't say anything because he was a hero during the war and he had the allure of someone important. But I know as soon as we would step into the shop they would say, "oh no, here they come!" and quickly move the beignets. xx, KUKY
