With this painting I really worked hard because I wanted to obtain what I really like. So, my favourite colour "Barbie Pink" (I say Barbie Pink because when I was a kid in the 1960s my aunt living in the US just sent to my sister an original Barbie with real hair and a silk evening dress in a super bright pink. This literally changed my life, or at least my vision of colours.) And the raw shape of my favourite symbols. This painting has been the starting point for my latest productions. I moved away from all the mannerism that I learned during the 1980s and liberated myself through my own simplism. xx, KUKY
